The Arlington Sportsman’s Club will host hold a Merit Badge shooting qualification completion opportunity for the Rifle and Shotgun Merit Badges on Saturday September 29th, 2007.

It is designed to help Scouts who have already completed the bookwork portion of the badges but who have struggled with the shooting qualification requirements. We will be prepared to help the Scouts with the skills needed to complete the following requirements:

For Rifle we will assist in requirement 2.A.(L). Five groups of five shots per group.
For Shotgun we will assist in requirement 2.A.(L). Hit at least 24 of 50 targets (48%).

Requirements: Email a copy of a partial Blue Card for Rifle or Shotgun along with the sign up form. Email to matt [at] jeditexan [dot] com by 9/12/2007.

Activity limited to first 50 Scouts to sign up.

Costs: Rifle $3.50 per Round (50 shots) Shotgun $7.50 per Round (25 shots)
Cash Only. Expect several rounds.

All Scouts must attend mandatory safety class at 8:00 AM. All shooting will end at 1:00 PM.

Registered Tejas Merit Badge Counselors will be on hand and prepared to sign off on completed requirements above.
