The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem
for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.
Boy Scout Troop 35 of Kennedale will host the 4th Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony on Monday Nov 12th at 7:00pm. The Troop will honor all Veterans and Civil Servants who gracious support this country from inside to the outside of its borders. The Troop will then retire any and all representatives of Old Glory that are beyond serviceable condition in a respectful and dignified manner. Over the past several years the troop has retired over 400 worn out US and State flags. Come join us for humbling experience and if you have a flag of you own or know of one that is no longer a fitting emblem of this great Country or even this great state State, here is your chance to give that flag a proper send off. If you cannot make the Ceremony, you may drop off flag in the collection basket located in the front of the Scout Hut. If you would like to participate in the ceremony, please let one of the Scouts know upon your arrival that night. The Scout Hut is located at the corner of Spiller and Broadway, just three blocks west of New Hope Rd in Kennedale.
