Dan, Longhorn Council's Scout Executive, lead a discussion of the future of Longhorn Council, especially the near-term plans for camp renovation and construction. His visit and candor was appreciated.

D’eanna Wood - "The New Northstar"
North Star, the Tejas District's basic outdoor training for Boy Scout Leaders, is undergoing a large change. The course is now broken down into four different courses in line with the new training program for national. The components of this training, and how they relate to the older version, were discussed. Information is available online on Tejas District training

John Houters - "How to Use OA in the Troop Program"
John provided a great deal of information on the role of the Order of the Arrow in Boy Scouts, as well as specific pointers on how to use the OA, and your OA members, to enhance to troop's program.

Gary Woodall, Warning Coordinating Meterologist for the National Weather Service (Ft Worth) – "Severe Weather"
Gary gave a dramatic presentation on Severe Weather, with an emphasis on how to protect yourself and your troop if you find yourself in a deteriorating weather condition. He also provided several ways to anticipate the approach of dangerous conditions and showed a fantastic film of tornadoes.

DynoRock/Climbing
Tony Young - "Cast Iron Cooking"
Zapara gave a great presentation on climbing, and also the ways that Dynorock can service your troop or pack. After the presentation we all went out to the woods near the parking lot where Tony et al had set up cooking displays. They discussed the care and handling of cast iron cookware, and fed us all some excellent food.

Ice Cream Social - This was the first combined Cub Scout and Boy Scout Roundtable. Rather than have a traditional meeting, we all gathered at Dalworthington Gardens Park and had an Ice Cream Social.
