Troop 1993 is need of a female leader to go to Philmont with them in August. The two middle weeks of the month are the dates. Contact Amanda Lewis, District Executive if you are interested.

South Oaks Baptist Church has started a new Venture Crew. The contact person is John Houters. We will be meeting after the troop meeting every Monday at South Oaks Baptist Church. More information to follow.

Scouters it’s time to register for the annual Tejas District Dinner. This is the banquet that recognizes “YOU” the volunteer Scouter and our 2007 Eagle Scouts. The theme for the dinner is Pirate’s Cove. We will have a prize for the “Best Table Decoration” using the dinner's theme. Dress in your Field Uniforms or Pirate Duds. Committee Chairs please email Barbara Boettger with your Unit Scouter and Spouse of the Year recipients.

6:00 – 9:00 pm

• Purpose of the event is to recruit new youth for Packs, Troops, and Crews.
o Cub Scouts (boys ages 7-11)
o Boy Scouts (boys ages 11-18)
o Venture Crews (boys and girls ages 14 – 20)
• Events to be sponsored by Troops:
o Ropes courses
o Horse Shoes
o Rock climbing wall
o Fishing
