Troop meetings are 7:00pm every Monday at our Scout Hut located at 210 W Broadway, just 3 blocks west of New Hope Rd in Kennedale. Traditionally a small hometown troop,
Troop 35's first Eagle Scout was in 1923 and several other Eagle Scouts in the thirties, forties, and fifties. We have Eagle Scouts from every decade since 1920 and have three since 2000.
Though records are not clear and some years not consectutive, the troop has been chartered since 1920's making Troop 35 in the neighborhood of 88 years old and is one of the oldest troops in the Longhorn Council. The Troop along with Pack have met in the Old Scouthut since 1961.
Pack 35 has consectutive recharters and will soon be 48 years old.

Troop 35 is a very active Troop and is boy-led (meaning the boys plan and carry out the program with the assistance and guideance of the Scoutmaster Corp and Troop Committee.
Enjoy a 12 month program and an outing each and every month. We are constantly searching for new camps and activities.
The Troop was awarded a Philmont Trek for July 2009 and just returned from Summer Camp from Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch in the beautiful Davis Mountains of West Texas. At Base Camp, the elevation is 4100ft and the high of the week was 85 degrees. The boys worked on Advanced Climbing and Rapelling on real rocks, Horseback Trail Rides daily, Shooting Sports, Scuba, Snorkling, swimming at Balmorhea Springs, a trip the McDonald Observatory and a hike to the BTRS back-country to Needle Rock and the Notch. First year scouts brought home up to 8 complete merit badges.

Sustanability:
The troop recently outfitted the troop trailer with dual axles in order to reduce maintainence costs and increase the tire wear and reliability. The trailer tongue was also reinforced and dual spare tire racks installed. These changes will give the trailer many years of continious service.
The old chuck boxes were retired and new chuckboxes have been custom built to fit the trailers internal configuration. The Scout Hut has a computor system and new wood tables for training, meetings, or banquets.
